Documentation for
BEEPER AND FRIENDS
by Duane Paulson
Three routines to beep your speaker. Great batch enhancers when you need them.
Here's the rundown:
BEEP.COM Sounds your speaker twice, then exits
(Yes, I know you can do the same thing with
ECHO ^G^G. Some people may find this easier.)
BEEPER.COM Sounds your speaker approximately once per second
until any key is pressed. Used for signaling when
that important job is done.
BEEP45.COM Sounds your speaker approximately once per second
for approximately 45 seconds, or until a key is
pressed. Designed for use with external file transfer
protocols. Signals you when the file transfer is
complete. If you are unavoidably detained, gets you
back to the board before time-out so you don't miss
the sign off message. Pressing any key exits
immediately.
Happy beeping!
